Festool 574308 NEW DF 500 Q Set Joining System

Joining has always been a slow, difficult process. Never again, thanks to the Festool Domino joining system. The system consists of the Domino joiner and pre-fabricated, beech and sipo Domino tenons. The Domino joiner, with its revolutionary cutting method, simple indexing features and adjustable mortise sizing, makes flawless mortises every single time. The Domino tenon is equally as impressive - it is 100% rotation-proof and far stronger than either biscuits or dowels. It also has a large gluing surface area for extra strength.

Festool DOMINO system expanded

The range of DOMINO accessories has been extended to include options for thin work pieces. Now you can mitre-join right angle drawer sides using the new beech DOMINO 4 x 20 mm and the matching 4 x 11 mm cutter. Not only this but an additional stop for the DOMINO provides extra support when positioning thin work pieces reducing the distance between the side and centre of the DOMINO from 37 mm to 22 mm. How do you use the new cutter? 

a) The dowel holes are cut centrally with the new cutter (10 mm deep). 

b) Easy to use: 20 mm DOMINO = 20 mm routing depth setting. The additional stop is screwed onto the DF 500 DOMINO which provides you with extra stability as a support extension. The two distance spacers can be folded individually allowing precise positioning of thin workpieces using the fixed stop. 

The new 4 mm cutter and 20 mm DOMINO dowell are now both included within the DOMINO assortment SYSTAINER. And the new additional stop will be an additional accessory included with the DOMINO as from now on.
